An intimate dinner in the tradition of La Paulée — that great Burgundian ritual of generosity where winemakers bring their finest bottles to share at table. This year, Golden Vines reimagines the format in memoriam of our dear friend, Frédéric Panaïotis, the celebrated Chef de Cave of Ruinart, for an evening that places Champagne at the very centre of the feast.

The setting is the Old Bailey — one of the most storied addresses in London, a neo-Baroque landmark that has stood at the heart of the City since it was opened by King Edward VII in 1907. To dine here is to inhabit a space that has witnessed centuries of consequence.

Guests are invited to bring a magnum or bottle of exceptional wine to share with their neighbours, creating a table of rare discovery and spontaneous conversation. A sharing style menu will be designed to move alongside the wines — each course a considered backdrop for whatever extraordinary bottles the room chooses to open.
